A Community-Focused Health Care Organization

Delaware Valley Community Health, Inc. (DVCH) is a private, non-profit organization which delivers community based, culturally competent, primary medical, dental and behavioral health care services to patients whether or not they have medical insurance. For over 43 years, DVCH has been the safety net provider for Latino and African- American communities in North Philadelphia.

DVCH currently operates six Federally Qualified Health Centers in Southeastern Pennsylvania: Fairmount Primary Care Center (and its two satellite centers); Maria de los Santos Health Center, Norristown Regional Health Center; and Parkview Health Center. At all of our health centers the physicians, dentists, midlevel providers, nurses, social workers, counselors, health educators and support staff work together to improve the health status of our patients and communities.

DVCH patients are encouraged to share comments and concerns about the quality of healthcare that they receive at any of our health centers by contacting management or the Joint Commission on Health Care - Ambulatory Division. Please see the patient rights tab for more information.

DVCH and its health centers are a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b, and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n).

News

Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius visits the Fairmount Primary Care Center and announces awards made possible by the new health care law that will help build, expand and improve community health centers nationwide.

Funding of more than $728 million will support 398 renovation and construction projects, boosting health centers’ ability to care for additional patients and creating jobs.  The awards are part of a series of capital investments that are made available to community health centers under the Affordable Care Act, which provides $9.5 billion to expand services over five years and $1.5 billion to support major construction and renovation projects at community health centers. DVCH was funded for projects at the Fairmount Primary Care Center and for the Norristown Regional Health Center.
